Red flag halts Senior TT

The Senior TT was red flagged

This afternoon’s Senior TT has been red flagged following an incident involving Jamie Hamilton.  

The Cookstown Burrows Engineering rider crashed out on the second lap at Cronk y Voddy and has since been flown to Nobles hospital for treatment.

Ian Hutchinson was leading John McGuinness at the time the flag came out, with Bruce Anstey and Michael Dunlop not far behind.

The race will restart at 14:45 and be run over four laps.

Update: Hamilton's injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening at this stage.
