19-times TT winner John McGuinness rode on track at Paul Ricard with F1 legend Michael Schumacher last week.
Schumacher is no stranger to bikes and competed successfully in the German Superbike championship after taking a break from F1. He also has his own collection of road bikes.
McGuinness and Schumacher were joined by other Monster-supported riders including the Prodigy’s Keith Flint, MotoGP legend Randy Mamola and Moto2’s 2012 championship runner-up Pol Espargaro, at the South of France circuit on Friday.
McGuinness said: “Riding with Michael was so good. What he’s achieved on four wheels makes him the Godfather of motorsport. I wasn’t expecting him to be anything less, but he’s fast! You can see his enthusiasm for motorcycles and it was a massive pleasure to spend the day with him.”
The complement was emphatically returned by seven times F1 World Champion, Michael Schumacher, he said: “Coming here today I felt so proud to be able to turn my hand at riding a bike with guys I really admire.
He added: "I can’t begin to explain how much fun it was to ride the track with the likes of John, Randy, Keith and watching Pol Espargaro’s huge talent.”
