Calling all female bikers

Calling all female riders! An attempt to beat the existing world record for the largest gathering of female motorcyclists will take place on 24th July 2022 at the Triumph Factory Visitor’s Experience in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

The existing record stands at 1,132 when the same Facebook group who are organising this July’s event, Moto Advisor with over 3,000 members – run by Nimi Patel and Sherrie Woolf – organised a single meet in Whitchurch, Shropshire supported by Bennetts. Our coverage of that day is here.

Nimi and Sherrie had set the original record at The Ace Café in London back in 2015 when 681 female riders showed up. That record was then broken just a year later by an all-female group of riders in New South Wales, Australia when 1002 attended, but the duo soon brought the World Record back to the UK with their 2017 attempt which still stands today. And now they want to cement their place in the record books with this summer’s meet.

Sherrie Woolf from Moto Advisor said: “We are keen to show the motorcycle industry that the female market is financially worthwhile catering to. There are over 300,000 female motorcycle licence holders in the UK alone. We also want to encourage and support more women to enjoy riding and get involved in all aspects of biking; from road riding, track days, off-roading, rallies, stunting, touring and anything else that is possible on two-wheels. The social aspect and kinship of the biking community is special, whether male or female, turning up to an event alone, you are guaranteed to leave with lots of new friends.

The event this July includes live music, clothing and apparel stands, refreshments and a raffle; the proceeds of which will be donated to the local Air Ambulance Service and Blood Bikers.
