Two colours to choose from, and one of them is new
Ducati has lifted the covers on its 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally, a motorcycle designed for “riders who crave long-distance adventure without compromising comfort, performance, or cutting-edge technology”. Building on the success of its predecessor released in 2023, the latest Rally model introduces a host of upgrades that reinforce its position as a proper rival to the likes of BMW’s GS Adventure range.
At the heart of the Multistrada V4 Rally is Ducati’s 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, delivering peak performance figures of 167.6 bhp (125kW) @ 10,750rpm and 121 Nm (89.2 ft lbs) @ 8750rpm of torque. The engine also features an extended rear cylinder deactivation strategy to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions during low-speed riding.
New for 2026 is the 2.0 version of Ducati’s Quick Shift system, which features a microswitch-free shift rod design claimed to enhance gear changes with a more direct feel and shorter travel.
Suspension That Thinks for You
The 2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally introduces an evolved Adaptive Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) EVO system. With 200 mm of travel front and rear, the semi-active suspension now includes a new Suspension Mode that allows riders to adjust damping on the fly, independent of Riding Mode. The system also adapts to terrain and riding style in real time, ensuring optimal comfort and control.
The Automatic Lowering Device is another new standout feature. Similar to the technology also found on the likes of BMW’s R1300GS and even Harley-Davidson’s Pan America, the bike automatically lowers at speeds below 10kph (6.2mph) should improve low-speed handling, before raising up again once underway.
Smarter Safety Systems
Never afraid of an acronym nor a rider aid, Ducati continues to evolve its motorcycle safety tech on the new Multistrada V4 Rally which retains its radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection, but now includes Forward Collision Warning (FCW), which alerts the rider to potential hazards ahead.
Braking performance is enhanced with a larger 280 mm rear disc and a refined rear-to-front braking strategy, which activates the front brake when only the rear is engaged - reducing pitch and improving comfort, especially when riding two-up.
The Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) algorithm, developed in MotoGP, simulates data from 70 sensors to refine ABS Cornering and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), offering more precise electronic intervention.
Touring Comfort, Day or Night
Comfort upgrades include a redesigned centre stand for easier lifting, standard heated grips with five temperature levels, and a taller, wider windshield for improved wind protection. The bike also features Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL) for better night-time visibility and a Coming Home function that keeps the low beam on briefly after shutdown.
Passenger comfort is enhanced with repositioned pannier mounts for more legroom and a sturdier top case support. Multiple seat height options and a lowered suspension kit allow for tailored ergonomics.
Trim Levels and Accessories
The 2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is available in three trims:
Radar: Includes ACC, BSD, and FCW.
Adventure Travel & Radar: adds aluminium panniers and heated seats.
Full Adventure: completes the package with a street-legal Akrapovic muffler and carbon fibre front mudguard.
A wide range of accessories includes tank bags, top cases, and various seat and windshield options.
Colours and Availability
The 2026 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally will be available in two colours: Ducati Red/Brushed Aluminium with black spoked wheels and the new Jade Green/Brushed Aluminium with gold spoked wheels. Deliveries begin in Europe from November 2025.
With valve clearance checks every 60,000 km and oil changes every 15,000 km or 24 months, it’s engineered for reliability and low running costs.
