Revealed: Zontes VX310

Last month we revealed leaked pictures of the new VX310 tourer from Zontes and now the company has confirmed the bike’s existence with the first official images.

While a 312cc, 35hp parallel twin might seem a little small for touring purposes, the VX310 is also much lighter than the typical mile-muncher at 168kg wet. So while performance won’t be at sports bike levels, it should be able to cruise at motorway speeds with ease.

Under the skin the VX310 is based on mechanical bits as the rest of the firm’s ‘310’ range, including the R310 roadster, X310 sports tourer and T310 adventure bike as well as the V310 – a Ducati Diavel-ish cruiser that forms the basis of the VX310 but lacks the tourer’s fairing, screen and luggage.

Kit on the VX310 includes that screen, which is electrically adjustable, as well as LED headlights and a small colour TFT dash flanked by useful-looking storage bins in each side of the fairing.

At the moment, the firm offers the R, X and T 310 models in the UK, all priced under £4k, so there’s a good chance that the V310 and the new VX310 will be added to the range in this country in 2021.
