Bennetts BSB FAQs

Are you buzzing with excitement and questions ahead of your Bennetts British Superbike Championship experience?

We’ve put together this handy list which’ll give you the low-down before your race weekend.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions but otherwise, we hope you have an experience to remember!

If you have any queries or questions that aren't answered in the below, then please reach out to us via bsb@bennetts.co.uk - thank you.

Some of our Bennetts BSB experiences do have age requirements.

You must be 16 or over to take part in a pit lane tour or a grid walk.

You must be 18 or over to go in the safety car or have a pillion lap of the circuit.

If you’re lucky enough to have won hospitality passes for a Bennetts BSB round, we’ll send you a VIP parking pass for your hospitality day. Just follow the signage when you get close to the circuit or ask a friendly person in high-vis at the gates. General admission tickets don't come with any priority parking, so you will park in the normal car park- which is free at all MSV circuits.

Our best advice is to visit the website of the circuit you are attending – they’ll have all the information about parking listed. There are also buggies on site that shuttle guests around for free so try and flag one down.

The Bennetts hospitality suite will be open from 8.30am on Sunday (or Monday if the round you have won is on a Bank Holiday weekend) and we’ll make sure the kettle is on and breakfast is served for when you arrive. A map is on the back of the white leaflet enclosed in your hospitality pack but if you get lost, head to the Bennetts stand in the paddock and we’ll set you on the right track.

A typical schedule for hospitality will look like this:

Please do let us know if you have any dietary requirements when we get in touch to let you know you’ve won.

9.00             Arrive, meet your host in hospitality and enjoy some breakfast

10.30            Exclusive rider meet and greet with a Bennetts BSB rider

11.30            Head over to pit lane and jump the queue for the pit walk

12.00            Lunchtime

13.00            Head out of hospitality for your exclusive grid walk

13.30            Watch the Bennetts BSB Race 1 – closer than ever before

14.00            Get right in front of the winners’ enclosure & be within the bubbly splash zone

15.00            Afternoon tea…you won’t go hungry with us

16.30            Watch Bennetts BSB Race 2 from hospitality or your favourite spot

Many of the hospitality suites will have exactly the number of seats that we’ve been allocated which means that children will need their own pass to gain access to the suite and won’t be able to come as well as another plus one – sorry! Please also bear in mind that kids under 16 won’t be able to take part in the grid walk so they’ll either need to keep us company in hospitality while you go on the grid walk or you risk missing out!

We’re pretty laid back and we know there’ll be more smiles all round if everyone feels comfortable. We just ask that you don’t wear anything that might offend your fellow guests.

As a hospitality guest, you’ll be joining us on a grid walk and pit lane tour so make sure your shoes have backs on them (i.e. not flip flops or backless sandals) as you’ll get turned away at the start of the grid walk on safety reasons – we can’t risk you losing your shoes if they need to evacuate the grid quickly.

…All of the Bennetts BSB racing you can shake a stick at. These tickets will get you access on the Friday, Saturday AND Sunday of a race weekend (or a Saturday, Sunday and Monday of a Bank Holiday weekend).

If you’d like to bring children, check out the circuit’s website as many allow free access for under 12s or under 15s.

Make sure you head over to the Bennetts stand to pick up your priority pit walk wristband which will give you queue jump to the general public pit walk on Sunday (or Monday if the round you attend is on a Bank Holiday).

Ever wondered what it would feel like to stand on the top step of the podium of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship? While we can’t let you loose on track to earn it yourself, this is the next best thing! You’ll be given the opportunity to hand over the trophies to the riders in some of the proudest (or most frustrating) times of their lives.

Top tip – try and turn and face the crowd as you’re giving the trophies to the riders. We’d like you to get a good photo of the experience… not the back of your head!

This is a thrilling experience that will see you hanging on to a top UK rider and experience one of the UK’s best circuits at full throttle on a BMW S1000RR.

We’d really like you to stay in one piece so please make sure you come kitted up in full leathers (one piece or two-piece with full zip around and no skin showing) in good condition, boots, over the wrist gloves and a full-face helmet. Textile clothing doesn’t slide as well as leather so our friends, the organisers of the event, won’t be able to let you out until they check you’re in the right kit.

The organisers also won’t send you out on track if the weather isn’t kind to us. If the track is too cold or too wet they may make the difficult decision to cancel the laps. If that happens please remember they’re just trying to keep you safe but if time allows then you will get a lap in the safety car instead!

The Bennetts BSB officials tell us we can only offer this experience to those aged 18 or over so please don’t be offended if we ask your age before heading out on track and we'll just need you to complete an indemnity form prior.

Buckle up for a fast lap of one of the UK’s top circuits. Win a lap in one of the BMW safety cars and you’ll truly appreciate how tight, twisty and steep some of the sections of the circuit are, as you get flung around. We love seeing the big smiles as you pull back in to the start line. It varies per round which cars are in attendance but you'll always be guaranteed a fast lap with one of the nicest and most talented drivers going!

The organisers won’t send you out on track if the weather isn’t kind to us. If the track is too cold or too wet they may make the difficult decision to cancel the laps. If that happens please remember they’re just trying to keep you safe and unfortunately, we won’t be able to offer an alternative prize.

The Bennetts BSB officials tell us we can only offer this experience to those aged 18 and over so please don’t be offended if we ask your age before heading out on track.

It doesn’t get closer to the action than this. Join our exclusive grid walk in the final minutes before the Bennetts BSB races go off. It’s busy, tense, and the perfect selfie opportunity.

Please make sure your shoes have backs on them (ie not flip flops or backless sandals) otherwise you’ll get turned away at the start of the grid walk on safety reasons. If it’s a hot day, bring two pairs of shoes if you’d prefer. You must be 16 or over to take part in a grid walk.

Feel free to snap away on the grid for mementos you can keep forever, but we do ask that you don’t chat to any of the riders or teams as they’ll likely be in race mode. Please and thanks!

Come and see us on the Bennetts stand in the paddock with a recent Bennetts email containing your policy number or BikeSocial membership number for a priority pit walk wristband from one of our friendly team.

The wristband will act as a queue jump for the public pit walk on a Sunday morning (or Bank Holiday Monday) and the Bennetts team will point you in the right direction for you to get access and miss the crowds.

Come and see us first thing Sunday to get your wristband.

This is totally personal preference and the majority of circuits have loads of local options from on-site camping to spa hotels. We suggest popping a search in Google and doing a bit of research to find the one for you. The circuits’ websites usually list a wide variety of the best local accommodation to steer you in the right direction.

If you do want to camp at the circuit, we suggest booking this sooner rather than later as the circuit camp sites fill up fast! You can do this via the BSB website by selecting the round you would like to camp at, simply select 'book tickets' and follow the process.

MSV will do all they can in wet weather to keep the racing schedule on time and will constantly keep you up to date on any changes via their website www.britishsuperbikes.com and their social media channels, so keep an eye out.

If you’ve won a pillion lap or safety car lap, there’s a chance the organisers won’t send you out on track - if the track is too cold or too wet they may make the difficult decision to cancel the laps. If that happens please remember they’re just trying to keep you safe.

We know that things change and when you enter a competition for a Bennetts BSB race weekend, life can happen meaning you won’t be able to attend after all. We’ll do all we can to help you out but unfortunately, it’s dependent on what availability we have left and we can’t always help. We hope you understand!

Under most circumstances the round you have won tickets for isn't transferable to another round, so please only enter the competitions that you are likely to attend and prepared to travel to- should you win.

If you’re lucky enough to win the chance to present the trophies on the podium of one of the Bennetts BSB races, we’ll lend you one of our exclusive Bennetts fleeces or jackets to stand out from the crowd.

If you're a lucky winner of hospitality then we will post your tickets, passes and information booklets out to you, so please ensure that when you complete your attendance form (linked in your winner email), that you don't miss the address box. These will be posted first class, signed for with Royal Mail. Please make sure that the address you put on your form has someone in to sign for your package, this can be a work address.

All other winners of general admission tickets (even if you have Friday or Saturday experiences) will receive e-tickets from bsb@bennetts.co.uk - a couple of weeks ahead of the event. We advise that if you are able to, to please print them off or screenshot the QR code. Signal can be sketchy on a race weekend and in the past people have struggled to load their emails up.

The majority of Bennetts BSB rounds have helmet and leather parks to save you carrying your kit all day long.

If you’re lucky enough to have a hospitality ticket, we welcome you to bring your kit to the suite. That’ll be your base for the day and there’ll be security checking that only Bennetts staff and customers are allowed in - so make yourself at home!

If you win and can no longer attend, please, please, please let us know when we get in touch so that we can give another Bennetts customer or BikeSocial member the chance to attend a Bennetts BSB weekend.  The tickets aren’t for resale and the BSB officials are very strict about that – they’ll cancel the tickets if they find out

We’ll be based in or near the paddock at each round so pop over for a chat. We’ll be there from 9.00am on the Saturday and Sunday (or the Sunday and Monday of a Bank Holiday) to answer any questions or for a chat about insurance or BikeSocial membership. What we have happening on our stand or pit box varies per round, keep updated with what we have going on over on our social media channels!

We will be hosting from our pit box at the following rounds:

- RD3 Donington Park

- RD6 Brands Hatch

- RD7 Thruxton

- RD10 Donington Park

- RD11 Brands Hatch

If you're query hasn't been answered by any of the above, then please reach out to bsb@bennetts.co.uk and we will answer your query over email.
