Cameron Donald will be back at this year's Classic TT

Cameron Donald will make a return to Classic TT this year as he lines up for Ripley Land Racing in both the Bennetts 500cc Classic T and Okells 350cc Classic TT races once again aboard the team’s 500cc Seeley G50 and 350cc 74 AJS.

The 36-year old competed at this year’s TT for the Norton with the latest incarnation of the British marque’s TT machine, the SG3. Unfortunately mechanical woes saw his campaign yield two non-finishes. Donald will be keen to repeat his 2013 Classic TT success, which saw the Aussie finish second overall in the 350cc TT, winning the GP1 class. He also became the first rider to break the 100mph average lap speed barrier on a standard frame AJS 7R.

Chris Palmer took victory for Ripley Land Racing in the 350cc race aboard a Honda and the team is hoping to secure the services of a second leading TT rider to take on this ride.

“I loved every minute of last year's Classic TT and I am delighted that I have the chance to go back and get involved in some more racing around the TT Course” said Donald. The atmosphere was fantastic last year and I love the whole classic racing scene. It is an honour to ride motorcycles as well prepared as the ones Ripley Land Racing provide me with and hopefully we can break a few more records and get ourselves back onto the podium.”
