Zero recall!

American electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycle Incorporated has issued a safety recall due to concerns about the front brake caliper bolts. The recall concerns certain model year 2011 and 2012 S and DS motorcycles.

According to the recall information, on the affected motorcycles, it would appear that the front caliper mounting bolts are susceptible to corrosion which could lead to their cracking and possible fracture. If this happens the caliper may come lose and lock the front wheel causing he rider to crash.

The company is in the process of notifying owners and replacing the front bolts free of charge.
