Victory for Stoner at Aragon

Posted: 18 Sep 2011

Australian Casey Stoner clinched his eighth victory of the 2011 season at Aragon, USA this weekend.

A battle between Stoner, team-mate Dani Pedrosa and Ben Spies was the initial order of the day, with all three riders dicing for the lead. However, it was Stoner who rose to the challenge – maintaining his position at the front of the pack at the end of the first lap for the remainder of the race.

It was Pedrosa who eventually finished second, while reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo rode to third.
