Ducati will hold track days at Donington and Silverstone

Ducati UK has announced it will host two major track days this year at two of the UK’s world famous race circuits. The Bologna manufacturer’s UK arm will run the events this summer at Donington Park and Silverstone in conjunction with the California Superbike School.

What’s more, if you don’t want to take your own pride and joy onto the track, Ducati are giving riders the opportunity to hire some of their top models, including the brand new 899 Panigale, Monster 1200 S and their flagship 1199 Panigale.

The Donington Park event will take place on Tuesday 27th May; right after the circuit hosts the 2014 Superbike World Championship. Ducati’s World Superbike duo of Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano will be present alongside Superbike Project Director, Ernesto Marinelli to meet riders and give a real insight to riding Ducati machinery on circuit. Breakfast and lunch will also be provided.

The Silverstone event will take place on Thursday 31st July and while there won’t be any World Superbike stars, the guys from the California Superbike School will be on hand to provide top advice about riding on track. Both days will be listed as ‘noisy’ (105db) and will be priced at £165 for the day.

The 135bhp Ducati Monster 1200 S, featuring Ducati’s special Testestretta engine can be yours for the day for just £249 while the 899 (as recently ridden by our own Marc Potter) can be hired for £269. If you’re after a full blown track experience from a 195bhp superbike, the 1199 Panigale can be hired for £349 for the day.

To book your place on the track day or to hire a bike, contact Lynn at the Superbike School by calling 08700 671 061 or emailing lynnb@superbikeschool.co.uk. Alternatively, you can book a place on the event through your local dealer.
