Donington Park and Riders for Health have teamed up to offer World Superbike fans the opportunity to go behind the scenes at the British round of the WSBK Championship and even get on track with Ron Haslam and Niall Mackenzie.

Called the ‘Day of Dreams’, the event takes place on Thursday 22nd May and for a £15 entry fee you can get access to the pit-lane and paddock, meet the riders and watch as the teams prepare for Round 5 of the Championship.

Alfa makes a poor start

Not only that but the Riders for Health charity will also benefit from the first 50 people wishing to spend half an hour on track with Haslam and Mackenzie. Two groups of 25 will spend two 15 minute sessions using their own bikes (no louder than 98dB) followed by lunch in the paddock hospitality suite.

Pit-lane access, autograph sessions and the Riders for Health auction follows.

Tickets for the track sessions cost £95 which includes all of the benefits of the £15 entry ticket.

Niall Mackenzie signs a hat

Mackenzie said: “I’ve supported Riders for Health for a long time, and I think events like Day of Dreams are really special. You get the chance to experience the pre-race buzz that goes on behind-the-scenes, as well as raising money for a charity that really is helping to save lives.”

Day of Dreams will also include a Riders for Health auction which includes 'unique SBK memorabilia'.

Riders for Health CEO Andrea Coleman said: “We’re really excited about returning to Donington Park and adding a brand new event to our calendar, and are grateful to Donington for all their support in staging Day of Dreams.”

All of the money raised will help Riders for Health ensure health workers in Africa have access to reliable, well maintained motorcycles and ambulance so that they can continue to transform health care for 14 million people.
