BMW's F800GT is the German firm's new baby sports tourer for 2013 and we've been lucky enough to get a first ride on the bike at it's UK launch today.
In theory, the BMW F800GT is a new model, but in reality it's a BMW F800ST with a restyled fairing, more power and a new riding position and replaces the previous F800ST.
It uses a version of the trusted parallel twin engine making a claimed 90bhp (66Kw) in standard form, an increase of 5bhp over the old F800ST from the 798cc motor. We've ridden it on a variety of different roads so far today as part of our first UK test and have to say that we're impressed by the baby sports tourer's abilities.

"Sadly it's cold and wet so I haven't had much chance to push the bike hard yet, but as an all round, entry-level BMW tourer the bike seems to tick all the boxes. It's never exciting but it's more than competent, is really comfortable and the new fairing gives great weather protection. ABS as standard is a great idea too."
We'll bring you a full test when we've done some more miles on the bike over the next two days of the test.
