Honda's CB1100R isn't going into production sadly, but we can still dream. For now we have the CB1100F.
Honda’s is launching its very cool retro-style Honda CB1100F to journalists this week. We love its retro style but we couldn’t help thinking that we wish Honda could put the racier CB1100R prototype into production! Sadly the CB1100R appears to be something we can only dream of.

The bike was shown as a concept back at the Tokyo Show in 2007, at the same time as the CB1100F concept in fact. It’s taken Honda five years to decide to put that bike into production, yet sadly Honda insiders told us recently that the chances of Honda building the CB1100R to put into production are about as likely as it snowing in Australia next Christmas. That’s not exactly what they said, but you get the idea.

CB1100R or not we figured we’d remind you of the ‘R’ to celebrate the naked version’s launch this week. We’ll have a full test of the naked CB1100F later on in the week, so check back for updates.
