Triumph's Tiger Explorer 1200, seen here in new XC guise
It seems the adventure bike bubble just won’t burst with Triumph’s Tiger Explorer 1200 the top-selling ‘big’ bike in the UK so far this year.

Admittedly the top 5 sellers in the UK from January to October are consistently made up of 125s and scooters, with Honda’s brilliant CBF125 topping the charts. But in sixth place, and the top-selling bike of 500cc and above this year is the Triumph Explorer, closely followed by Honda’s CBR1000RR Fireblade in seventh place.

And despite a host of changes coming in next year for the all new liquid-cooled GS, BMW continues to top up the top 10 UK sales with the R1200GS in eighth place. Expect even more from Triumph next year when the 2013 Triumph Explorer 1200 XC (pictured here) goes on sale.
