Ultra exotic, premium, limited-edition specials often come with the biggest prices of all but that also means that they can sometimes be subject to even bigger dealer discounts – as is the case here. The 1300R is a phenomenal, rebodied, upspecced version of KTM’s already astonishing 1290 Super Duke super naked by German tuners Brabus, who normally specialise in cars. Normally £36,999 (although usually they’ve all sold out), this brand new, 0-mile example is currently being offered by KTM dealer AMS with a whopping discount of £10,499 which takes its asking price down now to a far more palatable £26,500

Get £6000 off BMW’s R 18 Transcontinental
When it comes to monster bikes with massive price tags, they usually don’t come much bigger than US-style full dress tourers such as Harley-Davidson’s iconic Electra Glide or US rival Indian’s alternative Roadmaster, usually costing well-over £30K. Which may be why German brand BMW’s recent take on the theme, the R18 Transcontinental which, although excellent, hasn't caught on with US bike fans, can be had with big discounts, as here. Another example of a monster big bike with masses of technology, road presence and style – but also the massive price to go with it – is Triumph’s 2500cc cruiser triple, the Rocket3. Most recently reinvented in 2020 it’s a fabulous machine with performance like no other but also a c.£24K price – except here. While, finally for this week, here’s also proof that it’s not just massive, premium-priced oddballs that can benefit from big dealer discounts, sometimes truly versatile, proven all-rounders can, too – as is the case here. Honda’s revived Africa Twin is one of the most practical big adventures bikes of all, being brilliant both on and off-road and coming with the options of Honda’s clever, semi-automatic DCT transmission. While Kawasaki’s supercharged sports tourer, with 197bhp and superb spec and ability, is a fabulous machine, with new prices now around £27K (in SE trim) it’s also a very pricey one – which is why there are not just plenty of new discounts being offered – and even better used bike ones – as is the case here. Used bike specialists Superbike Factory, as part of its January Price Drop promotion has just slashed the price of this used example by a full £2608. Get this Yamaha VMAX 1700 with £2378 off
If a supercharged sports-tourer isn’t to your fancy how about getting your kicks on one of the most ballistically powered bikes ever – and now also one with a huge dealer discount. Yamaha’s revived but now deleted VMAX 1700 is a sublime, ferociously entertaining V4 hot rod with the power and quality to match. Used bike specialists Superbike Factory are currently offering this 2015 example that’s covered 11,852 miles and as part of its January sale have just slashed its price by a full £2378. That takes its price down from the previous £15,990 to now just £13,612 and a free 12-month warranty is thrown in too

While, finally for this week, how about this for a brilliant cut-price deal on a virtually as-new example of one of the best sports-tourers currently available? Get £1000 dealer contribution on selected new Suzukis
Suzuki has dropped the prices of a number of key models in its range, via a healthy dealer contribution. Suzuki dealers will be offering a £1,000 deposit contribution on the GSX-S1000GT+ sports tourer, and the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT modern retros. There will also be a £300 contribution from authorised Suzuki retailers on the GSX-8S middleweight naked. As a result, the £1,000 contribution reduces the OTR price of the GSX-S1000GT+ – complete with its standard-fit 36-litre panniers – to just £11,999. The 8TT drops to £8,999, and the 8TT to £8,599. The £300 contribution to the 8S makes it £7,999 OTR with the new OTR prices are available to both finance and cash buyers.

Adventure and retro bikes remain two of the most popular motorcycle classes of all so why not combine them both with Ducati’s brilliant Desert X?
