Without a Motorcycle Live, EICMA, Intermot or a London Motorcycle Show over the last few months, motorbike enthusiasts throughout the country have been bereft of seeing, touching, feeling, or even sitting on new bikes, trying new kit or just talking to manufacturers and suppliers about our wonderful world of powered two wheeling.
Fear not, because we’re going to help. Each month we’ll host a themed ‘show’ of our own known as BikeSocial: LIVE!, either hosted on one of our social media channels or here at BikeSocial. Then maybe one day out in the real world when we can see you in three dimensions again with regular meets all over the country on the Thursday evening ahead of each Bennetts British Superbike race weekend.
Up first this weekend over on our Facebook page is a dedicated event where we’ll be offering advice about Buying & Selling both New and Used bikes. From 9am – 5pm on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th February, we have plenty of guides, articles, videos, polls and debates, and we hope you’ll join in too. The BikeSocial team will be online throughout each day to answer any questions and generate a bit of chat, so you can spend all weekend with us or just half an hour here and there, whatever suits you.
We’ll be posting existing content generated over the last few years as well as a couple of brand-new videos; ‘The inside line on buying from a motorcycle dealer… by a motorcycle dealer’ with our Publisher, Steve Rose, talking to Nick Nomikos of The Two Wheel Centre in Harpenden, as well as ‘What it takes to run a motorcycle dealership – behind the scenes’ as BMW Motorrad Wollaston’s General Manager, Richard Higgs, tells us all about it.
Come online and join us at the Bennetts Bike Facebook page at the weekend for a chat and you never know, you might end up picking up a tip or two to help buy your next bike or sell your current one. Sign up to the event now and you’ll be sent reminders about the ‘show’.
Then over the coming months we’ll be looking ahead to the 2021 Bennetts British Superbike season as well as helping new riders get into motorcycling with a LIVE CBT! We’ll have experts, manufacturers, motorcycling fans and you. Everyone can watch, comment, contribute and get something from it. It won’t quite be the same as spending £15 at a cold, wet, dark Birmingham car park followed by £10 on a rubbish burger but we’ll try!
