Fancy riding the BSB Championship winning bike?

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to ride a proper ex-works BSB bike there are a limited number of options.

You could sell your house, buy a caravan, and pay a visit to Lusso Veloce in Leicester where they have a selection of jaw-droppingly exotic race (and road) bikes for sale, including Scott Redding’s 2019 BSB winning Ducati V4RS. Price? £150k – which might not be cheap, but it’s bloody good value for a bike that’d still finish top five in BSB in the right hands. And try finding another genuine Works V4RS for less anywhere in the world.

However, if £150k is a little out of reach, then, if you’re a Bennetts insurance customer you could simply enter our competition for the chance to win a ride on Josh Brookes’s 230bhp VisionTrack PBM Ducati V4 RS race bike around Donington Park at the official Bennetts BSB test instead – a bike that clinched the 2019 and 2020 Bennetts BSB championships.

The ‘Bennetts BSB Search for No.1’ campaign is a once-in-a-lifetime chance courtesy of a special collaboration with PBM and MotorSport Vision (MSV), and is only open to members of Bennetts Rewards. Check the date, this is not an April Fools.

Access to Bennetts Rewards is free to riders who insure their motorcycle directly with Bennetts but is also available to everyone by purchasing a 12-month subscription for just £36. Bennetts Rewards allows riders of all experience and bike types to get more from motorcycling with all-year access to exclusive savings on motorcycling clothing, accessories and experiences, incredible competitions, unrivalled access at events and other amazing opportunities. This is backed up by trusted motorcycling advice, engaging features and in-depth reviews from the expert BikeSocial team.

For a chance to ride the VisionTrack PBM Ducati at the official Bennetts BSB test at Donington Park on June 8, Bennetts Rewards members need to apply by completing the online form found via Entries open on April 20, 2021, and all applications must be submitted prior to May 9, 2021. All applications will be put in front of a judging panel, consisting of BSB Series and Race Director, Stuart Higgs, PBM’s John Mowatt, BikeSocial’s Content Manager, Michael Mann along with a former British Superbike rider.

The judging panel will select the ‘Top 5’ entrants who meet a strict criteria based around their riding experience on and off track and the reasons why they deserve this incredible opportunity. The Top 5 will then be invited along to a MSV T track day at Donington Park on May 17, where they will ride on track on a brand-new Ducati sportsbike on track in front of the judging panel. Riders will be assessed on their skills as opposed to lap times.

The winner and their chosen friend will join the PBM Team at Donington Park on June 8 where they will become acquainted with the VisionTrack PBM Ducati V4 RS, meet Josh Brookes and then take to the track. The whole experience will also be captured on video and photo.

Jonathan Palmer, Chief Executive of British Superbike organisers, MSV, said: “This is an incredible opportunity that we’re really proud to enable; providing experiences like this just proves the strength of the partnership between MSV and Bennetts. I also need to thank Paul Bird, owner of PBM, for allowing this to happen.”

Bennetts PR, Brand & Events manager, Luke Brackenbury, further commented: “This really is the ultimate Bennetts British Superbike experience! Having a competition like this really demonstrates that only Bennetts’ customers and BikeSocial members can get closer to BSB action than anyone else.”
