Pick of the ads - Kawasaki ZZR1400

Posted: 03 Apr 2014

Each week we scan through the Free Classifieds part of the Bennetts website and bring our favourite to you.  This week we've found a whole lot of bike in the shape of a 2010 Kawasaki ZZR1400 with ABS.  It's only got 4,000 miles on the clock and a full history.

For sale - Kawasaki ZZR1400

The bike has been fitted with aftermarker cans by Beowulf, a tank pad and she's had her rear suspension lowered with the bars raised.  The seller has all the original parts and will return her to standard if required.

This particular model of Kawasaki's ridiculously fast sports-tourer was available from 2006-2011 and replaced the ZX-12R.  It pushes out 197bhp and is restricted to 186mph - all fantasy figures because actually the ZZR1400 is a very smooth and comfortable bike and you'll think these figures are just crazy-talk if you pootle about at under 6,000rpm.

The steering is light, the suspension is forgiving if not a little soft, it's surprisingly nimble for a 215kg machine so, whilst Kawasaki would like to believe that you can blow away the 1 litre sportsbikes at on a track day before cruising home in a lot more comfort, in actual fact it's more 'tourer' then 'sports'. This is whole lot of bike and with its 22 litre tankm she should give you around 39mpg and a 185 mile range.

KAWASAKI ZZR1400 ABS 2010 Kawasaki ZZR1400 Only 4,090 Miles 1 Owner From New Beowulf Exhausts Lowered Suspension Black & Silver Full Service History All 3 Original Keys - Including Red Master Key & Key Number All Factory Handbooks & Paperwork Outstanding Condition All Round This is my own bike that is for sale due to buying an outright tourer. It has never seen the rain and has only been out on the warmest days (hence mileage & condition) When I bought the bike new, I had Beowulf exhausts fitted and also had the bike lowered. It has had the dog legs replaced to lower the back end as well as the riders foot rests lowered. Handlebar risers have been fitted for a more comfy riding position too. A Kawasaki tank pad has also been fitted to protect the tank from marks. Obviously the tyres, brakes and chain & sprockets are in very good condition. Starts on the first push of the button and sounds excellent with the Beowulfs fitted. I have all the original parts should you wish to return it to standard height but it is ideal as it is for the shorter-legged. The original exhausts are also included. It has been serviced every year regardless of mileage (stamped service book included) You really wont find a better one! HPI clear.
