Bike Nation will sponsor the 2014 lightweight TT

It has been announced that Bike Nation, a new, online shop for motorcyclists, will sponsor the 2014 Lightweight race at this year’s Isle of Man TT. Launched last week, Bike Nation offers one of the UK’s widest selections of quality motorcycle clothing and accessories.

The Lightweight TT race first took place in 2012 and has soon become an established part of the TT schedule, with many of the big-named TT riders participating in the battle aboard Supertwin machinery. Kawasaki’s James Hillier won the 2013 race, setting an impressive new lap record of 119.130mph. The 2014 race has seen a record number of entries, with almost ninety riders hoping to line up on the grid to take on the 37.75 mile mountain course.

Bike Nation has been launched in conjunction with TT sponsor Bennetts, whose brands have sponsored the Lightweight race since 2012. The title sponsorship will mean the 2014 race will be named the Bike Nation Lightweight TT.

To celebrate the announcement of the title sponsorship, Bike Nation will offer one customer a VIP trip for two to the Isle of Man TT races this May/June, including travel and accommodation as well as two tickets to the TT’s VIP club.

Bike Nation joins Bike Social as part of Bennetts’ offering to British motorcyclists, along with free classifieds.

The three lap Bike Nation Lightweight TT will take place at 10:15hrs on Friday 6 June, just ahead of the prestigious Senior TT event, with the start list being revealed on Friday 4 April.
