This is the new Buell EBR1190SX and its coming to Europe this year, according to Erik Buell Racing. Few details of the new bike have been released yet but it’s basically a naked version of the 185bhp Buell 1190RX. It was uncovered last night at a launch in Indianapolis, USA.
Based on the spec of the fully-faired 1190RX, it’s got an 1190cc Buell motor and if it’s tuned the same as the sports bike, then it will make a whopping 101.6ft-lb of torque. That will make it quite a handful, so we’d imagine the bike’s torque will be trimmed down slightly.
You can see from the picture that the naked SX uses the same aluminium frame with fuel built into the chassis, and 8-piston caliper front brake with a perimeter disc.
As we said, details are sketchy at the moment and no prices or availability are yet available, but we can’t wait to swing a leg over it when it eventually goes on sale. Buell say more details will be available next month and we hope that Buell manage to get it on sale in the UK.
Buell’s Managing Director of EBR Europe, Edwin Belonje said: "With this naked sport bike EBR will enter an important market segment in Europe. The 1190SX will without any doubt boost sales of EBR in Europe and strengthen our market presence."
