New Michelin tyres for 2013

Michelin has updated its entire range of bike tyres with a host of technical changes for 2013. The new range includes tyres to fit everything from a scooter to a sports bike.

Information is still a little sketchy, but full information on the new tyres will be available soon. Michelin will also release a new tyre for owners of the massive 6-cylinder BMW K1600GT based on the Pilot Road 3 tyre.

The new tyres are:

Michelin Power Superspot for the track day and fast road bike tyre market
Michelin Power SuperSport (above): a hypersport tyre which replaces the Michelin Power One Track - available from January 2013.

Michelin Pilot Power 3 are a great road tyre for everyday use on performance bikes
Michelin Pilot Power 3 (above): a sports tyre which replaces the Michelin Power Pure - available from January 2013.

Michelin Anakee 3 are designed for Adventure bikes
Michelin Anakee 3 (above): a trail/adventure tyre which replaces the Michelin Anakee 2 - available from January 2013. This tyre will also be available in 120/70 R 19 and 170/60 R 17 sizes to fit the new 2013 BMW R1200 GS and KTM 1190 Adventure.

Michelin's Pilot Street are designed for sub-500cc bikes, think Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Honda CBR250
