Guzzi V7

Steve Hatfield got in touch with us on Facebook to ask whether he should keep his Suzuki Bandit 1250 or replace it with a Guzzi V7. We put his question to one of our biking experts and here’s their response.

STEVE ASKS:

Should I keep my 08 Bandit 1250 or trade in for a Guzzi V7? Will I miss the grunt?

OUR EXPERT ANSWERS:

There is a significant difference in horsepower and torque output, and rev ceiling. There’s also the fact the V7 isn’t, shall we say, a use and abuse bike – they’re not a disposable, everyday tool but a bike to be cherished, loved and tended. So, yes, you probably will miss your Bandit. However, the Guzzi V7 Racer is a different kettle of fish. Ok, so it’s performance is little different to a standard V7 but, by crikey, it looks fantastic. For this reason alone most folk would be perfectly happy with the V7 Racer.
