BSB Silverstone - Race 3 Results

Dan Linfoot secured his maiden British Superbike win in the final race of the weekend at a soggy Silverstone GP circuit.

Only seven riders would make the finish in torrential conditions, which brought an early end to the race with five laps remaining. 

Linfoot mastered the tricky conditions to take the top step on the podium ahead of Michael Lavertymand Jake Dixon.

By taking the final step on the podium, youngster Dixon successfully secured his place in the Showdown in his first full season in BSB. 

Honda Racing’s, Jason O’Halloran would also make the Showdown despite crashing out of the race in the first corner. 

Gearlink Kawasaki’s, James Westmoreland finished fourth, with Kuba Smrz fifth, Brad Ray sixth and Lee Jackson seventh. 

A drenched Linfoot said after the race: “Massive thanks to the team, this one is for them. I’ve been on the deck three times this weekend.” 

“We had no momentum going into the last few races so to get a podium like this is superb. Hopefully we can now build on this and get our elbows out for the final rounds.”
