BSB Oulton Park - Race 2 Results

Dan Linfoot mastered tricky conditions to take race two honours at the Cheshire circuit.

Fresh from his first ever British Superbike victory last time out at Silverstone, the Knaresborough rider overtook Leon Haslam (second) on the final lap to to bounce back from his race one retirement. 

Youngster Bradley Ray rode a fantastic race to finish third and take his maiden podium in what is his debut season in the class. He also became the 15th podium finisher of the 2017 season. 

Linfoot said after the race: “I felt I got lucky with my win at Silverstone, but to get this win in the dry is mega! It’s been a long time coming.” 

“I just want to say thanks to all my sponsors and the team. We’ve chipped away with the new Fireblade all year and we’re now starting to feel the rewards. Hopefully this will set us up well for the final few rounds.” 

Peter Hickman (fourth) got the better of his Showdown rivals to beat Josh Brookes (fifth), Jake Dixon (sixth) and Shane Byrne (seventh).

Jason O’Halloran, Christian Iddon and James Ellison rounded out the top ten.
