BSB Snetterton - Qualifying Results

Shane Byrne will start tomorrow’s 16 lap race at Snetterton from pole position after smashing the British Superbike lap record at the Norfolk circuit.   

The five-time champion continued his pace from free practice to set a time of 1'46.024, ahead of James Ellison and Jason O’Halloran.

Shakey said: “I actually made some mistakes on that lap. I went wide down into turn two and missed the apex on the last corner, but I’m really pleased with my time. We’re on a run of tracks I like now, so it’s important to keep this momentum going.”

Leon Haslam will head up the second row, ahead of double Knockhill race winner Jake Dixon and championship leader Luke Mossey.

Josh Brookes, Dan Linfoot , Kuba Smrz and Peter Hickman round out the top ten for tomorrow’s opening race at 13.30.
