Shoei RYD

Shoei has introduced a new mid-range helmet, the RYD, for 2017 and you can see it in the UK for the first time at this week's Motorcycle Live show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

The RYD comes in a choice of seven single colours, with seven sizes from XXS to XXL utilising four different shell sizes. The design features a 3D-moulded visor that Shoei claims gives the wearer an extra wide view and five air vents for ventilation.

Inside, the padding feels plush – and there’s a standard double D-ring mechanism for strapping it up.

Expect to pay around £350 when it arrives in showrooms around May next year.
