Bennetts help trail riders get more from motorcycling

Bennetts, the Motorcycling Insurance Specialists, announce an exciting new partnership with the Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF), in support of the ‘Green Road Map’- an online resource which details the locations of ‘Green Roads’  (trails) that can be lawfully and sustainably used by responsible Trail Riders.

The TRF’s work extends beyond organising and highlighting the routes available to their members; they have helped motorcyclists responsibly and sensitively access the countryside since 1970. The TRF is wide reaching, including working with UK Government to shape Policy, and with Local Authorities and communities to address local issues and needs, as well as maintaining access to the Green Road network for all to enjoy.

They educate trail riders on where it is legal to ride a motorcycle and how to respectfully share the trails with others, and help riders improve their skills, both on and off the bike advocating, safer and more sustainable riding. The TRF also work alongside the Police to reduce illegal riding.

Bennetts’ support of the Green Road Map will contribute to the continuation of the conservation of Green Roads in England and Wales, enabling trail riders to discover and enjoy Green Roads  in a responsible and sustainable way. To enjoy the 6,000 miles of Green Roads responsibly, riders must ensure their motorcycle has a valid MOT (when a bike is over three years old) and that it is taxed and insured as, ultimately, the Green Roads are public highways.

Graeme Collins, CEO of the TRF commented: “The TRF is delighted to have Bennetts supporting the organisation’s conservation work and is looking forward to developing the relationship further. As a non-for-profit organisation, membership and sponsorship is vital to enable us to continue the critical work we do on behalf of all motorcyclists.”

When trail riders come to selecting their motorcycle insurance, they can rest assured that Bennetts’ panel of insurers provide some of the most comprehensive policies in the market, having been awarded  the 5- Star Defaqto Rating for over 13 years. This independent rating takes all aspects of insurance into account, such as terms and condition, policy details and key product features.

Bennetts’ Multi-bike insurance, where up to six bikes can be insured on one policy (the policy can cover a wide range of bikes), also benefits from the 5-star Defaqto rating.  Seventeen of the most common bike modifications are covered as standard, and don’t need to be declared. Multi-bike motorcycle insurance has many benefits as, not only are all motorcycles covered on one policy, for one price with one renewal date, but the no-claims discount is applied to a single policy, covering all the bikes on the policy. By comparison, separate policies means NCD is often only allowed on one bike. Bennetts make it simple to complete a multi bike quote online, on their website at www.bennetts.co.uk, at your convenience.

Marisa Sloper, Senior Marketing Manager added: “Bennetts is proud to be supporting the TRF’s conservation work and all you do for your members and motorcyclists who ride on and off-road. At Bennetts we are committed to help riders, our customers and our partners all get more from motorcycling, and we look forward to exploring more opportunities with the TRF.”
