Processing

We use third-party advertising platforms, such as Facebook, Google, YouTube, and Instagram, to send you targeted messages based on your interactions with Bennetts BikeSocial. Using Legitimate Interests as our lawful basis for this processing, we use Google Ads Manager and Facebook Business Manager to improve the relevance of our campaigns and messages to be more relevant to our consumers.

These platforms will attempt to match your profile to show you a tailored message from Bennetts BikeSocial. We may also use these platforms and your data to help us identify users with similar characteristics and interests. You have the right to object to this processing at any time via this form in the Online Service Centre.

Please note: You may still see non-targeted Bennetts & BikeSocial advertisements on these platforms at random. You can also update your privacy settings on social media and ad display networks.

Profiling (audience management)

We build a profile of you by combining information you’ve provided to us—either directly or indirectly. We use audience management technologies to help ensure that the messages and content you receive are timely, relevant, and delivered through the most appropriate channels, where we have the appropriate permissions to do so.

This enables us to personalise your experience based on previous interactions and other available data, allowing us to make informed assumptions about your preferences and interests. The extent of this personalisation, and the way we communicate with you, is based either on our legitimate interests or the consent you have given.

This may include sending you marketing messages about our products and services, or showing you tailored advertising across the Bennetts BikeSocial digital platforms. You can object to this type of processing at any time for specific channels—such as email, or paid media. Find out how by visiting the Keeping you informed about our products and services section of our Privacy Policy.

Marketing analytics

We may use your data for different analytical purposes to better understand: a) how you browse and use our platforms; b) which products you are interested in; c) which features of our products and platforms you like; d) the quality of our services including customer service, marketing and advertising campaigns addressed to you, and your reaction to these services; e) our product and website design; f) and whether overall user experience worked for you or not. We use this analysis to improve the relevance of our marketing communication to you and the quality of our personalisation experience across our channels and platforms.

Data enrichment

We may create a single, unified consumer profile of you by matching all personal data which you can be identified. This includes personal data collected directly or indirectly from you across digital media or offline, the feedback you provide to us, your interaction and communication with us through our various platforms and communication channels.

Improve data models

We use data science, your profile and personal data to help give us more insight on your interactions, preference and needs for our products and services. We will compare the data model we created using your profile with other similar consumer profiles and categories to further predict and analyse your preference.

Retention period

We retain it for as long as you do not withdraw your consent.
