Michael Dunlop testing Milwaukee R1 at Oulton Park

Michael Dunlop is currently testing the Milwaukee Yamaha YZF-R1 at Oulton Park.

The Ulsterman will ride for the Guisborough-based outfit in this year’s North West 200 and Isle of Man TT races.

Having first tested a stock bike in Spain back in March, Dunlop got his first taste of the R1 superbike competing in the Thundersport GB races at Donington Park two weeks ago, where he stormed to a couple of race victories

Yamaha will be Dunlop’s third manufacturer in as many years as he continues in his quest for TT domination. The younger Dunlop, son of Robert, nephew of Joey, has won eight TT races in the last two years.

Dunlop is thought to be using track time in between sessions at an Motorsport Vision track day at the Cheshire circuit ahead of testing with the British Superbike riders tomorrow.

This year’s Isle of Man TT kicks off at the end of May.
