Last night in Barcelona, World Superbike Champion, Tom Sykes unveiled the ZX10R on which he will defend his title on board this season. 2014 will see Sykes with the Japanese manufacturer for the fourth year straight and having finished runner up and champion in the last two years, he’ll be out for more success.
The bike, which will hold the number 1 plate, retains the Kawasaki green, black and white livery seen over recent years, with the white forming sections across the bike, unlike the white oval on last year’s faring.
Sykes will be joined once again by young Frenchman Loris Baz, who is looking to step up his results in 2014 with the pair also joined by official Kawasaki EVO rider David Salom.
“It is great to be here in Barcelona at the 2014 launch” Sykes commented.
“I do not even need to look at the bike to know what it is because it is engraved in my memory. I have shared a lot of great times with this Ninja ZX-10R and I know we can be competitive again. We have had some really good tests in the off-season even though I did not feel at my full potential. I am excited and even more motivated than last year to start racing again.”
