Keep the noise down!

Posted: 12 May 2013

The WSBK paddock at Monza was full of sleepy faces this morning, after a party held in the centre of the Italian circuit last night kept riders and anyone else staying on site awake well into the early hours.

The layout of the circuit means that riders’ motorhomes are close to the paddock, which was the location of last night's party for fans and teams. And, with hundreds of people in attendance, food and drink on tap and music keeping people entertained, the party definitely started to get on the nerves of many of the riders who were trying to get some vital shut-eye before race day, including Jonathan Rea who took to Twitter to vent his frustration!

We all know, race day is the culmination of a team’s hard work over the course of the weekend and a chance for riders to put all their preparation into action – after all, it's only today’s results that actually matter. Let’s hope the later-than-usual night doesn’t affect riders’ performance too much today…
