Another win for Melandri
A fierce on-track battle between Italian rivals Marco Melandri and Max Biaggi was the order of the day at the Czech Republic round of the World Superbike Championship. Although they diced for the lead throughout the race, it was Melandri who emerged the well-deserved victor. It is his third win of the 2011 season.

Carlos Checa also showed determination throughout the race at Brno, challenging the two leaders for podium honours. However, he had to settle for third place at the chequered flag, as Melandri and Biaggi once again took first and second place finishes respectively.

All change for Biaggi and Melandri
In stark contrast to the first race results, Max Biaggi has won the second race at Brno from Marco Melandri.

The Italian duo once again fought tirelessly for the top spot throughout the race, while championship leader Carlos Checa again had to settle for a third place finish – reducing his points lead to 30 overall.
