Redding to announce 2013 plans

Posted: 17 Oct 2012

Despite some summer flirtations and a budding romance with Ducati’s ‘junior’ MotoGP outfit, 19-year-old Scott Redding’s options for a step up to the premier class for the 2013 season have finally been extinguished as the Gloucestershire-based Moto2 racer will confirm this week that he will stay with the Marc VDS squad in 2013 for a fourth season in Moto2.

With his compatriots at the sharp end of the current Championship, Marc Marquez and Andrea Ianonne, moving up to MotoGP with HRC and Pramac Ducati respectively, Scott’s hopes of fighting for the title will be boosted despite the on-going concerns with the lack of a minimum weight in the 600cc class.

Bennetts-backed Redding has enjoyed 4 visits to the podium this season and sits 5th in the Championship with three races remaining.

Meanwhile, you can meet Scott at Motorcycle Live at the NEC on Saturday 26th, Sunday 27th and Monday 28th November.
