Another win for Stoner

Following his debut victory of the 2012 season at Jerez, reigning MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner has dominated today’s Portuguese Grand Prix – the third round of the series held at Estoril.  

The Repsol Honda rider led the race from the start pulling out a comfortable 1.421s from second placed man Jorge Lorenzo at the chequered flag. It was Stoner's first win at the Portuguese circuit. Stoner’s team-mate Dani Pedrosa finished third, while Tech-3 team-mates Andrea Dovizioso and Bennetts-supported Cal Crutchlow clinched fourth and fifth place finishes respectively.

Alvaro Bautista (Gresini Honda) finished the race in sixth position, ahead of Ducati’s Valentino Rossi in seventh
