Weather hinders first Classic TT practice

Classic TT practice cancelled

The first Bennetts Classic TT practice session of 2013 was due to take place on the Isle of Man yesterday (Saturday), however, a combination of poor weather conditions and an apparent shortage of marshals saw the session initially delayed before being cancelled altogether.

Classic racers including Chris Palmer, Olie Linsdell and Alan Oversby were looking forward to getting out on the infamous Mountain Course, while many of the other leading TT stars complete the Ulster Grand Prix. However, Guy Martin, William and Michael Dunlop, John McGuinness and Bruce Anstey, among others, will head to the island for Monday’s practice session - the start of Classic TT week, which begins at 6pm.
