Camier could be back in BSB for the end of the season

Leon Camier has said he could make a return to the British Superbike series for the final two rounds at Silverstone and Brands Hatch.

The 2009 British Champion has been standing in for Nicky Hayden in the Aspar MotoGP squad but with the American returning to action this weekend, Camier is left without a ride.

Speaking on BT Sport, Camier said: “There is a possibility I’ll be doing the last two rounds of British Superbikes, we’re working on that at the minute to understand if it’s going to happen or not.”

It’s not clear which team Camier could be in talks with although it is thought both Honda Racing and Halsall Kawasaki were interested in him earlier this season. There’s also a seat going spare at Bathams BMW after the departure of Michael Rutter.
