Seton Yamaha facing funding difficulties

Could Gowland's season end early?

Phil Seton has told BikeSocial that his Supersport team will race at Brands Hatch next week but cannot make any guarantees for the rest of the season if the Colchester based outfit doesn’t find immediate financial support.

The team’s rider - Graeme Gowland - currently lies fifth in the British Supersport standings after a strong first half to the season and Seton is confident should the team find backing they can progress to fight for wins.

"I'm currently out in Norway working” Seton told BikeSocial.co.uk. “I found a bit of work which would provide us with the funds for the tyre bill so we can be at Brands Hatch next week but after that we're going to need to source £2000 per round to continue.

To stop at this point would be incredibly disappointing, we're doing well - Graeme is one of few riders to have been in the points in every race so far this season and at Snetteron he was the top Yamaha. We aren’t doing bad for a private team struggling with money! I'm confident we can make the next step onto the podium and be challenging for wins by the end of the season if we can find the funding to continue.”

We can give a sponsor good coverage; obviously the races are shown live on TV.” added Seton. Anybody interested in sponsoring the team can contact Phil Seton on 07801676454.
