Road racers try their luck at Thruxton

Posted: 13 Apr 2013

There will be a number of pure road racers, used to manoeuvring around grates and white lines on the road, taking to Thruxton this weekend (13-14 April) in the Superstock 1000 series as part of the build-up to next month's North West 200 meeting.

Not only does this gives the guys chance to get out on the motorcycles and get some laps under their belts, it also helps them fulfill the mandatory six race requirement to obtain their racing licence for this year's Isle of Man TT.

James Hiller (Quattro Plant Kawasaki), Dan Cooper (Centurion Racing), Gavin Hunt (JAR Kawasaki) and nine times TT winner Bruce Anstey (Padgetts Honda) are in action this weekend at Thruxton in the Superstock 1000 series, so be sure to keep an eye out for them.

No doubt they will be sharing anecdotes and chatting about the upcoming road races with each other in paddock and perhaps sharing some tips...
