Near miss for Dunlop

Posted: 06 Apr 2013

After a long winter, most British racers will have been chomping at the bit to get back on the track at Brands Hatch for the season opener of the British Superbike Championship this weekend. That couldn’t have been more true for 27-year-old Milwaukee Yamaha rider William Dunlop, who is contesting the British Supersport Championship this year.

The talented road racer from Ballymoney in Northern Ireland took extra care to arrive at Belfast City Airport in good time for his London-bound flight on Thursday. However, Dunlop almost missed the first day of track action at the Kent circuit, having discovered his booked flight was actually from BELFAST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT!

We’re pleased to say Dunlop did eventually make it to the track on time and was running 17th fastest during yesterday’s Free Practice session.
