Earlier this month in Milan, BMW Motorrad unveiled the all new S1000XR. An adventure/sports tourer version of their largely successful S1000RR superbike.

The S1000XR is powered by a version of the litre engine found in the S1000RR, adapted to the characteristics of a sports tourer, outputting an impressive 160bhp.

It sports BMW’s innovative electronic suspension, cornering ABS and switchable traction control.

Expected to cost around £12,000, the S1000XR will be available in the UK next May.
