After announcing upgrades to their Z1000SX, Kawasaki has just announced further upgrades to their 2014 model range. The Japanese manufacturer has unveiled a Performance Sport version of their renowned ZZR1400, the fastest accelerating mass production motorcycle currently available.
The ZZR1400 Performance Sport will come equipped with a bespoke Ohlins TTX rear shock absorber as standard. The TTX rear shock comes has 22 possible adjustments for both damping and rebound and is said to increase rear stability and riding comfort. The European market Performance Sport model also features titanium Akrapovic slip-on silencers designed to weight and make the bike sound sportier. A bubble screen and new seat material finish off the updated model.
Kawasaki have also announced a Special Edition of the twin-cylinder, water-cooled Ninja 300. Based on the styling of Tom Sykes’ ZX10R World Superbike, this Special Edition entry-level Ninja 300 will be available in standard and ABS equipped versions.
Both new models will be available throughout Europe from late 2013, with prices yet to be revealed.
