Yamaha launch new generation YZ-F series

Posted: 22 Jun 2013

Yamaha have recently announced a new generation of its YZ-F series. The new YZ450F and YZ250F share the same platform and technology system, the bikes both take full advantage of the concept behind the rear-slanting engine layout and the new snaking exhaust pipe flow from the back of the cylinder head; attributes that set the bikes apart from the pack. The YZ450F has been a staple front runner of this type of model for four years and has been the benchmark in terms of performance, feedback and tractability in 2014.

Both engines are fuel injected to bring the range bang up to date with latest propulsive engineering available on the market. For the YZ-F pair this means excellent power characteristics ultra responsiveness.

The YZ model’s ‘MX Power Tuner’ - one of many available accessories - allows for quick and easy customization of the engine settings for preference or for tackling different terrains. This feature goes a long way to making the 2014 line-up not only the finest motocrosser Yamaha have produced, but also the most rewarding and personal.

Both are available in racing blue and sports white with the YZ205F at a starting price of £6399 and available in November while the YZ450F starts at £6599 and is available slightly earlier, in August.
