The new motorcycle registrations for November have been released and this month it’s the scooter category that has seen the most registrations (1,399, an increase of 3%).

However, for the second consecutive month it was the naked sector that had the biggest increase on registrations (36.4%) compared with the same period last year. The adventure sport category also saw an increase (6.8%) on registrations since the same period last year, while the sports touring category experienced one of the biggest decreases (-19.7%).

A total of 5,062 new bikes were registered in November 2013, compared with 5,092 in November 2012 – a difference of just 30 new bikes (-0.6%)! This means that in terms of year-to-date, there have been fewer bikes registered in 2013, compared with last year (-2.4%).

The most registered bike in November was the Honda CBF 125, which had a total of 147 registrations, and the most popular bike listed under the scooter category was another Honda, the PCX 125. This means that once again, Honda retains the top spot in terms of most registered brands in November with 1,000 new registrations, from Yamaha, Piaggio, BMW and Triumph.
