Triumph Street Triple

Triumph is about to announce a global recall on all Street Triple, Street Triple R and Daytona 675 models built between 2005 to 2009.

The models affected may have a dodgy regulator/rectifier which can overheat and prevent the charging system from working properly. It could lead to the battery discharging and cause the bike to stall.

Triumph will not release numbers of bikes affected, but it is believed to affect more than 10,000 bikes in the USA alone.

Triumph UK spokesman Simon Carter told Bike Social: “A letter will be going out to all affected owners, failing that we recommend owners contact their dealer for the problem to be fixed.”
