Suzuki refreshes the ’ultimate sportsbike’

Posted: 02 Oct 2012

Since its introduction more than a decade ago, the Hayabusa has enjoyed a dedicated army of followers and today Suzuki revealed its latest incarnation to the world’s media at Intermot. The front brake has been upgraded to Brembo monobloc high performance calipers and ABS has been added as standard along with other technical refinements.

The manufacturer describes ‘radical aerodynamic restyling’ that has been created through extensive wind tunnel testing to ensure that the machine is the optimum shape for high speed riding. The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) has also been added to allow the rider to select from three engine control maps.

There is also a new dual valve control fuel injection system with one valve controlled by the throttle and the other by the engine management system, to provide a more natural feeling throttle response. It looks like the Hayabusa is set to remain a firm favourite for many more years to come…
