Suzuki to restore GSX-R750F at Motorcycle Live

An original GSX-R750F will be restored on Suzuki’s stand across the duration of this year’s Motorcycle Live show as part of the GSX-R’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

Suzuki will be stripping the bike down and re-building it with refurbished and new components, restoring the machine to its former glory as one of the most iconic sportsbikes in history.

The restoration will be done by Team Classic Suzuki technician Nathan Colombi, and is set to be completed on the stand on the final day of the show.

“I really don’t think there’s a bigger icon in motorcycling than the original GSX-R750,” said Tim Davies, Suzuki GB’s Aftersales Marketing Co-Ordinator for parts. “It’s responsible for 30 years of sportsbike as we know them today and also the popularity of the GSX-R brand.”

Suzuki will also be displaying a number of other classic GSX-Rs on the stand to celebrate the anniversary, with three spaces available for GSX-R owners to get their pride and joy on display. To enter, owners simply need to upload a photo of their GSX-R here.

Motorcycle Live opens its doors on Saturday 28 November, and Suzuki can be found on stand 4D20, right next to our friends at Bennetts!
