Yamaha officially unveil XSR700

Yamaha’s Sport Heritage bike building evolves with an all-new XSR700 production model. The retro styled street bike that pays tribute to the iconic and simplistically designed Yamaha XS650.

The XSR700 uses the same twin-cylinder 700cc motor straight out of the hugely popular MT-07 and will be available in November 2015.

Yamaha have today unveiled the all-new XSR700 as part of their Sport Heritage bike building programme.

Based on the best-selling MT-07 twin, the XSR700 is a casual, retro-styled street bike that pays tribute to the iconic 1960s Yamaha XS650.

Enhanced with a number of high quality parts to complete its look, riders can enjoy an 'authentic retro feeling' with the XSR700's two-texture leather seat unit sitting on an easily customisable bolt on rear sub-frame.

A great base for customisation

A period style speedometer sits between the wide tapered back handlebars, which offer a casual and upright riding position for the rider. A short stubby rear muffler provides the right soundtrack and the bike comes equipped with Pirelli Phantom tyres to complete the authentic style.

The super trusty 700cc inline twin is built on Yamaha's 'crossplane philosophy' and :"kicks out a linear, deep torque for great accelaration in every gear."

Yamaha are also marketing the bike at new riders, with ABS fitted as standard.
