BSB - Hill poll position in qualifying

Posted: 07 Aug 2011

Rider of the weekend: Tommy Hill

Why? Determination and using his experience to improve

Tommy was fast throughout the weekend, asserting authority and dominating the free practice sessions by setting a pace for others to follow.

He achieved pole position in qualifying but the wrong choice of tyre, coupled with tricky weather conditions, meant that he was forced to pull into the pits to swap tyres eventually finishing 19th in race one – despite setting the fastest lap.

However this didn’t deter him. He brushed off his earlier defeat and achieved a podium position in the final two races. He finished the weekend by coming second in race two and topped off his weekend by winning the final BSB race of the meeting!
