Bennetts announce Girls Aloud are the top distraction for bikers on the road
The silky tresses of Girls Aloud were the biggest distraction to motorcyclists this summer, according to research released today. A massive 40% of bikers across the UK admitted to taking their eyes off the road to admire giant billboards featuring the gorgeous girl band, a survey by Bennetts, the UK's number one for motorbike insurance*, has revealed.
Whilst the weather was disappointing, the research compiled from bikers up and down the country reveals that a handful of celebrities sent biker's temperatures soaring this summer. Over a decade after Eva Herzigova caused mayhem on the roads with her Hello Boys advertising campaign, red-blooded bikers have had a bikini-clad Myleene Klass and Kylie Minogue to distract them from the road in 2007.
The survey reveals that the Sunsilk billboards featuring Girls Aloud were the clear favourite for
Marketing Director of Bennetts, Mark Fells, said of the findings "Girls Aloud and Myleene Klass are enough for anyone to lose concentration but Bennetts hopes by releasing this research, riders realise how easy it is to be distracted and keep their eyes on the road."
