Bimota introduce 180bhp supercharged supernaked

Ducati's 1198cc Testastretta engine lies beneath

Bimota has thrown a shark into the supernaked pool with the introduction of the ultra exotic Impeto, featuring a 180bhp supercharged version of Ducati’s legendary 1198cc V-twin motor.

Details, including price and whether it will indeed come to the UK, are limited at the moment, but the supercharged Impeto was one of two new bikes unveiled by the boutique Italian manufacturer at the Milan show today.

The supercharger, an optional extra for ‘track use only’ is an option for the standard Impeto, boosting power by around 20%.

Bimota also used the show as an opportunity to introduce the neat Tesi 3D Race Cafe, featuring Ducati’s basic 803cc motor and, of course, the hub centred Tesi front end.

Described as a cafe racer, with its distinctive fron end

Also from Bimota, a BB3 ‘kit’ rolling chassis. A bike minus an engine for track enthusiasts wishing to fit their own tuned BMW S1000RR motor.
